Congratulations to Mubrouka and Siraj who will be tying the knot halfway around the world in a traditional ceremony in Libya. Not to leave out close friends and relatives here in Canada, the bride's parents are throwing a pre-wedding reception at La Primavera in Woodbridge, to celebrate the occasion. Contacted by the bride-to-be herself, she requested an elegant, contemporary piece that incorporated her love of damask and came in on budget. The result was simply perfect!

There's no denying the beauty of this traditional design element — which is why so many modern brides are choosing to weave it throughout their wedding stationery and decor. Black and white is always in style, and a beautiful damask pattern is striking in this classic colour scheme. Pictured above is a layered panel invitation with a printed paper wrap used to tuck away the reply set, and map on the reverse. This invitation suite is a great alternative to a more expensive pocketfold — there's plenty of space for your event details and you still have a place to hold all of your inserts.

A few weeks ago, clients Erica and Paul exchanged their vows in the beautiful East Coast, during an outdoor ceremony on the rooftop of the Fairmont Algonquin in St. Andrews by-the-sea. Being disappointed in the service she recieved when ordering her wedding invitations months earlier, Erica contacted Momento Design to create all the stationery she needed for her wedding day (which she was planning from miles away). She requested that the design of each piece reflect the look of her invitations — so we chose paper colours and type styles that would coordinate flawlessly.

Fan programs were handed out as guests took their seats — offering a glimpse of coming events and a way to keep cool under the bright sun. Table numbers, menus and thank you tags completed the look. And having everything ready days before deadline allowed this excited couple to leave for the East Coast ahead of schedule — which made them very happy!

Congratulations to Seth and Sara, and big sister Madeleine, on the new addition to their family. On a refferal from a good friend, Sara contacted us to create a custom design inspired by the modern floral prints and colours used to decorate the nursery. The result was perfect and super adorable with Katie's snapshot taken only a few days old. It was just what mama ordered!

Congrats to Brian and Mitchella on the birth of their third child — a precious baby boy named Logan. Earlier this month, his Aunt Judy requested a simple three-pic design as a surprise gift to help spread the news. It's the perfect gift for new mommies (and daddies too!).
